Erika Gifford is dynamic researcher with strong writing skills and teaching experience looking to contribute her expertise to community driven organizations in the Lexington and Wilmore Kentucky area.

Currently a grad student in the Rhetoric and Writing program at the University of Findlay, Erika graduated from Cleveland State University in 2022 with her BA in English and Philosophy. Currently, she is a part-time teaching assistant in the first-year writing program at Findlay where she teaches English 104 and 106, and is expected to graduate May 2024.

Erika’s research interests include: composition pedagogy, feminist theory, food pedagogy, multimodal composition, first year composition.

    This past weekend I was honored to receive the Doug Hesse Award to Outstanding Master of Arts in Rhetoric and Writing Student award. I’m so thankful to all the professors and students who have made these last two years so memorable.
