Data Assessment Report
Goal: a formal data report on the University of Findlay’s College Credit Plus Program in English 104 and 106 for the academic semesters spanning Fall 2017-Fall of 2023. The focus was on comparing the grade distribution between courses offered in the high school versus on campus.
Finding: the group found that off campus passing grades are usually higher, though more research needs to be done to account for class size and meeting frequency as high schools meet daily, and on-campus courses meet only two to three times a week.
Process: a formal collaboration with a team to filter the relevant data provided by the University of Findlay. While all members approved the content, Erika focused on the introduction, and creating the graphs. The report was compiled in Canva and followed pre-established university branding.
Five Rhetorical Canons Video
Goal: create a series of videos on the five rhetorical cannons according to Cicero. These videos are to showcase experiences available through the Rhetoric and Writing Masters program.
Process: after scripting the videos individually, the team worked on the theme and style of the scripts and slides for consistency accross videos. Scripts and powerpoints were peer reviewed multiple times and approved by the marketing department before publication.

As a child I was not afraid of the dark.
In dreams I would rearrange my body in the shape of a poem.
Repeating hands and feet, and hands and feet
I’m a crouching spider, tense limbs poised to pounce.
In dreams I would rearrange my body in the shape of a poem,
tossing and turning in aching insomniac tango
I’m a crouching spider, tense limbs poised to pounce,
like a ravenous dream catcher with bones dangling on strings
Tossing and turning in aching insomniac tango
to the glitching repeat of a broken record or highlight reel
or a ravenous dream catcher with bones dangling on strings
finger bones dug up from my hands and sun bleached in May
To the glitching repeat of a broken record or highlight reel
bearing a message of equality, “we’re all not good enough”
finger bones dug up from my hands and sun bleached in May
pepper the hot and sticky bedsheets twisted in tight knots
Bearing a message of equality, “we’re all not good enough”
repeating hands and feet, and hands and feet
pepper the hot and sticky bedsheets twisted in tight knots.
As a child I was not afraid of the dark.
